GERALL HIESER, cello,
began her musical studies with her mother, also a cellist, in Newport News, VA. She attended the New School of Music and graduated from Temple University where she studied with Orlando Cole. She received her Master’s degree from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University as a student of Paul Tobias. Ms. Hieser has been a member of the Gabriel Piano Quartet for 11 years and has performed with that ensemble on Maryland Public Radio as well as in concert in venues throughout the Northeast. She is a member of the Colonial and Westfield symphonies, and maintains a private studio as an affiliate artist at Drew University. When not performing with the Quartet, she enjoys playing Appalachian fiddle.
