STEPHEN WILLIAMS, organ

is director of music and organist at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in center-city Allentown, and College organist, chapel musician, and organ instructor at Allentown’s Muhlenberg College. His summa cum laude undergraduate and graduate degrees and additional studies are from Brevard College in North Carolina , West Chester University , Westminster Choir College , and The Juilliard School. Stephen coordinates the Arts at St. John’s annual concert series, including Noon-Ten concerts, Christmas Day Organ Noëls, seasonal choral services, and performances by both local and international ensembles and solo artists. He has twice performed the entire organ works of J. S. Bach, the complete organ works of Johannes Brahms, and the six symphonies of Louis Vierne, and recently performed with the Monocacy Chamber Orchestra in the Lehigh Valley premiere of organ works by Samuel Barber. He is the 2006 recipient of the City of Allentown ’s Arts Ovation Award, and is a past Dean of the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
